Running Shaadi.com, a film produced by Shoojit Sircar (Piku, Vicky Donor) and Vikram Malhotra (Baby) has been ready for a while now but it was only on Thursday that the makers released its trailer.
Starring Taapsee Pannu and Amit Sadh (Kai Po Che), the film looks like a little gem, something that may just go on to become the first sleeper hit of 2017.
Vibrant, colorful, and peppered with one-liners, the film is a romantic comedy about a duo who decide to open a website that helps couple elope with their lovers. In the battle of the startups, this one definitely takes home the cake.
Directed by newbie Amit Roy, the film is set in Amritsar and it appears to have captured the North flavor rather well. Whether the hilarious premise and the cheeky dialogues will work with the audience, one will only know on February 3, when the film opens in cinemas.
