To every 'hyper-nationalist' out there irrespective of his/her political affiliation: You are not the choudharis of nationalism.
I have the right to question and criticise. It doesn't make me an anti-national. It doesn't make me a Congress supporter, aaptard, Pappu ka chamcha, Kejri ka chamcha, anti-Hindu, sickular, terrorist, Pakistani, Italian, etc.
I voted for Narendra Modi for Prime Minister and for Arvind Kejriwal for Chief Minister of Delhi. The Congress, as you know, is out of the game. I voted both for the BJP and AAP. I am not affiliated to any political party. I am just affiliated to India. However, I get a beating from both sides. I belong to the silent majority. We voted for the most promising candidates and we reserve the right to criticise them whenever the need arises.

India first. Always. Not Modi first.
Modi said, "India first. Always." He never said BJP first or Modi first. I learned it from my PM to question the status quo and fight for change. His agenda is growth. His agenda is to make India great. His agenda is not to suppress criticism. Don't use his name to justify your personal agenda of hatred and abuse.

I love his speeches. I can see the support he gets from around the world. I proudly listened to his United Nations General Assembly speech. I can proudly say that Modi is the Prime Minister of my country. I always love to see him in his pagdi and suit. I can see the changes he has made in the governance of the country in such a short amount of time. But the question is -- does my love for him take away my right to question him or the actions of his colleagues which I find unacceptable?
Criticising and questioning is a right. Abusing is not.
Criticising a government in power is my constitutional right. It enriches our democracy. A democracy rests on the principle of constant dialogue, debate and criticism. I question the policies of the government. I question the hasty decisions, taken solely for political gains. I question them because I have a right to question. It may not be relevant to you. You have the right to disagree. You can counter me with facts and logic. But you cannot abuse me. You cannot call me an anti-national. You cannot call me a Pakistani.

He is the PM. A leader. But not a god.
PM Modi is certainly not bigger than India itself. He is, just like everyone else, a son of our motherland. He calls himself a sevak (servant) of Maa Bharati (Mother India). He is, perhaps, one of the greatest sons of Mother India. One among many. But he is definitely not a god. I will not follow him blindly. He is not immune to mistakes. He is not perfect. Finally, he is nothing but a human being. I will appreciate the good and criticise the wrong.
Be a desh bhakt. Not a Modi bhakt. He would appreciate it.
Worship your motherland. Fight for it. Die for it. Nobody is greater than the country itself. Not even Modi. What would you say to a retired decorated army officer fighting for OROP (One Rank One Pension) and criticising the Modi government? Does he need to prove his nationalism? Does he need to get qualified as a certified nationalist? Does he become a Pakistani? No, he doesn't.

Be a desh bhakt. Not a Modi bhakt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would definitely appreciate that. Strive to become like him, not just a devotee. Don't start abusing people just because of their different opinions, views or grievances. Let's not diminish his image and stature.
